This is for all the participating members of Cress d\'Wiles!

*DrowKat and I decided to have this thread made for everyone participating in the writer\'s project as a means of not only getting to know one another, but so that the participants can share thoughts, ideas and possibly get critiques.

One other reason for it is a possible tool for networking, especially given the 2008 objective which is one of collaboration.

And then, this can also be just for fun. You can have characters talk to other characters and such if you want too.

I\'ll start it off in a bit, but if someone wants to, go ahead!

Well, given it's been almost three weeks since I posted this, I guess I should try and get the ball rolling already, huh?

Anyways, I am Havoc. I am one of the admins, and an avid fantasy writer. I do not do typical fantasy, being quite happy with having spent a few years developing and creating my own. It is post-apocalyptic fantasy, set in a world much like our own, and it is indeed a world in chaos at the moment.

I have been writing for years now, even having narrated stories to my parents when I was young.

My biggest gripe with the fantasy genre is the lack of originality in it nowadays, and those of you who know me personally know this quite well, which is one reason I write what I do.

My main drow characters in my writing are: Harriet Valtress, Faen, Alleria Lhuhari, Ysuwe Olidi, Traven Daradul and a new guy named Aporal.

So, that's my introduction, now for some ideas for possible CDW objectives!

So far, only three of them:

Murderers, Thieves and All-Around Creeps Inspired by hearing a commercial for Law and Order somewhere, the idea for this objective would be to explore the seedy underbelly of drow society. If what they normally do is something normal people consider bad, imagine what is 'bad' in their eyes!

"What's your favorite form of torture?" As we all know, drow enjoy the dark art of torment. What is one of yours favorite ways of getting information or just torturing for the hell of it? This one would be a good one for descriptions!

The Incursion Probably my favorite of the three ideas so far, and kinda based-off the idea for the undead we have this year, but only rather than undead, this is dealing with a demonic invasion! What happens to the city that is attacked by the demons? And what of the inhabitants? Do they survive, or are they pulled into damnation?

So, there we go. Have at it people! If no one starts talking here soon, I'll make an announcement in the CDW journal as well as the main one to try and get some interest.
