Death Drow and Dark Tastes by ~Eternal-Pretenses, House Aleanandar:What is Cress d'Wiles?
Cress d'Wiles, Drow for Web of Words, is a special club, so to speak for the writers of Lolth-Scourge. It is to balance the projects that the artists get to do such as the card deck and the calendar. Members of Cress d'Wiles get a year to complete as many of the eight objectives as they want to or can do. At the end of the year they will receive a point per objective met, maximum 8 points per year.
Okay, so how will this work?
There are eight themes, assignments or requirements. Each one has to have a short story that satisfies that objective. That means each writer that participates will write up to eight short stories, their choice if it is the same character or even the same storyline all the way through.
How do I participate?
Send a note to the club informing you wish to be a part of the Cress d'Wiles. All active writers are displayed that do so in this journal, so you know who is participating in case of a collab assignment. Also, please participate with ideas. Send some ideas via note.
Is there any limits to the stories?
Only in the maximum length accepted and, of course, the main character or a main character must be Drow. Try to keep the stories under 10 typed pages, which is around 4,000 words. Poetry is also allowed as long as the objective is met. Everything else except the one-year deadline is up to the writer.
How do I submit the stories?
Send the link to the work via note, just like submitting monthly art.
How long do I have to complete all eight objectives?
You have until December 31, 2008 to complete as many objectives as you desire.
