Your drow character, whether by upbringing, amnesia, or any other factor is unaware that he or she is a dark elf and identifies as a member of another race. This could mean she thinks she is another elf living among elves; maybe he is a dark skinned, pointy-eared human; or maybe a tall halfling or a bald wolf on two legs.
Your drow will come in contact with another individual, whether another drow or someone who recognizes the character as drow. Such news might be traumatic or just another point of discovery.
Art Requirements:
-Minimum two characters. Must depict a drow who identifies as part of another race meeting an individual, drow or otherwise, and who reveals to the main character he or she is a drow (such as a pointing child, an angry mob, another drow, etc).
-Must be original characters or any licensed character as long as you give credit where credit is due.Writing Requirements
-Must contain a minimum of two characters, one of them drow.
-Must contain a description of the main character that is unaware of his or her race with descriptions of how they identify themselves, why they have no knowledge of their race, who they are living with. Must contain some narrative about the main character drow meeting another individual who reveals his or her race (such as meeting a drow priestess demanding proper submission, being chased by a drow hunter, or just anyone who looks at the character and goes drow, or any other scenario.)
-Must be original characters or any licensed character as long as you give credit where credit is due

I want to feel your flesh.
I don't believe we wrote anything in the contest about an extra point being added for any reason. I have no intention of causing upset, this can be hidden afterward. ^_^
That's a little unfair isn't it considering the stigma attached to drow is a DnD thing. Even if it's a free fiction of the artists creation and they have never touched DnD or or RP it's hard to prove and the influence of loving drow is still a DnD based thing. Saying that would almost make the contest void.
If you mean an extra point for an ORIGINAL setting as in not a wizards copyright setting (Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk, Eberron etc...) you should really state that over DnD. After all a lot of us have complete original worlds free of wizards influence that we take our art from.
Besides, when we created the contest, again, Onisyr and I said nothing about extra points for any reason. Maybe you should have asked if it was in the spirit of the idea - there are other things more appropriate to up the challenge.
Once again, feel free to hide this once the issue has been cleared up ^_^ Just thought this should be looked at ASAP and notes take awhile. We are both sending notes as well.

We weren't aware of the extra point being added until reading this deviation. the extra point in itself isn't the issue, but the bonus requirement does potentially undermine what we had in mind for the contest.
The contest is based on the concept of drow as portrayed in a DnD setting of some kind whether a published or original setting. If the bonus is for setting it in something besides FR, Eberron, Greyhawk, etc., that's fine but it needs to be in a DnD setting or the spirit of the contest is lost.
I know a lot of people have their own original dark elves in original settings not based on DnD (including myself) and I think the bonus itself is a good idea for any other contest but it does not match the intention of this specific contest. Granted the DnD requirement wasn't specified in our rules, but we also weren't made aware that any changes were going to be made to the rules we made.
That is just our thoughts on this right now. Like Azrael, I will be sending a note to the club to work this out, though we are posting here to make our views immediately known.
