Rebellion - Chapter Fourteen: Mithral HallAfter one and a half tendays of marching with little food and water, the group came to the lower reaches of the mines beneath Mithral Hall.Rebellion - Chapter Fourteen: Mithral Hall by illiithin
Belwar smiled as he heard the sound of hammers ringing out through the walls. "Almost home," he grunted in relief.
The deep gnomes followed their leader closely as all picked up their sore feet. Rest was within reach.
Yochelle and Zenth looked at each other for a moment, the uncertainty mirrored in each other's eyes.
"Should we follow them?" Yochelle whispered.
"You too, dark elves!" Belwar called back with a laugh. "All allies are welcome!"
The taller members smiled, then jogged alongside their shorter companions.
Although the drow could not understand the svirnefblin language, they smiled when happy cries rang out as children and women came alongside the group, pulling away various members. Soon only Belwar was left.
"Come." he smiled, motioning them into a sturdy house. Both drow limped inside, then collapsed gratefully on the same bed and fell
Chronicles of Rhyl'lyn: When It Snows, It BlowsHe felt cold. The crunchy, wet stuff on the ground and all around him, as white as his hair, came with an unnatural chill that he hadn't expected. Durdyn had said the surface changed over the course of a year, unlike the constant darkness of the Underdark, and that he would do well to wear warm clothes if he decided to leave Ched Nasad this time of the year. He'd done so, going for the warmest spider silk cloak the Underdark had to offer, fingerless spider silk gloves that had been knitted by the most meticulous tailors and a rare, greasy substance to waterproof his boots. He'd even greased his short swords, as rumours had it the frost would sometimes make the blades stick, and he kept his hand crossbow hidden away in an enchanted pocket in his cloak.Chronicles of Rhyl'lyn: When It Snows, It Blows by Sushi-Troll
Getting fur from animals on the surface was practically impossible, and if he'd bought a scarf his matron mother would probably begin to suspect something. It had been easy enough to slip away – he was part of the regular Underdark
Contest - Deh' o' Mialhin Shadow RangerContest - Deh' o' Mialhin by Lolth-Scourge
Deh' o' Mialhin is a young drow female of Mih'Al'Henidraninl family. Ancient Lolth high priestess, she was revoked from her position because spiders, the symbol of Lolth, did never dare to approach her, as if frightened by something.
Renegade, she had to leave the territories under Lolth control when her high prietest weapon, the fangs scourge with file living snake lashes, tried to kill her. Lolth wanted her dead.
She traveled south in the Underdark, alone, and soon discovered she was happier in those half desert lands than she had never been in the crowded Drow cities. She also soon discovered some hided talents in herself and little by little, while traveling in the earth bowels, she became what we could call a Shadow Ranger.
As her surface homonyms, Deh' had some powers over the nature, even over the dangerous beasts living in the Underdark. She discovered why spiders feared her: in fact she had the power to provoque waves of extreme fear in any liv

Xenshai yawned, stopped fiddling with his long braided hair and looked over at his brother. The younger drow looked, in Xenshais' opinion, far too nervous to carry out the orders they had explicitly been given by their mother, the Matron Vikhra. Or maybe it was the other orders he had been given that worried him…
'Jehk'ril, if you're going to going to fidget, you may as well leave' he drawled, a slightly amused smile touching his lips. Jehk'ril turned and frowned, shaking his head vehemently.
'I know what to do' he replied, a hint of a tremor to his voice.
'Hmmm. And you are sure you are…up to it?'
Jehk'ril glowered at his brother. Why must he always treat him as a child?
'This raid will be successful. Hasn't Matron Vikhra told us Mother Lolth is on our side?
'Lolth?' Xenshai spat over his shoulder. 'Who gives a damn what that old spider thinks! Anyway, that was not what I was referring to…'
'Xenshai…do you think this course of action is wise? Surely Vikhra will

"I don't like it." He snarls, crossing and uncrossing his arms anxiously. The Half-drey just ignored it, however, stroking his short beard thoughtfully. It didn't bother him any to be someplace without walls or ceiling…damn the man.
"Look up…" Orin smirks softly, gesturing upward. His rings glinted in the bright light of the moon, making Shand squint.
"I don't want to." He snaps back, irritably, sitting down on the ground, the heavy spider limbs that hang from his back twitching dangerously.
"Aww. Big man is SKAWED." Bat'zu sniggered. The half demon, who looked like nothing more impressive than a chubby, horned infant with wings, sniggered as he lit an thick cigar, further offending Shand's eyes with the flames interruption of the darkness. It's the tiny wings that keep him air born as one of Shand's talon-ended spider limbs smashes through the branch the half demon is perched on. Even the sound of it breaking and falling don't sound right without cavern walls to make them echo. Too bl
