SoD: Born to Damnation - Chapter 2Chapter 2: AlliancesSoD: Born to Damnation - Chapter 2 by *ChokeSlamer
Silence in the never ending cavern was shattered by the sound of grinding stone – the first cracks into a foundation elegantly and arrogantly carved from stalagmites, rounded into a massive compound that sprawled upwards. It had stood defiant at the edge of a massive chasm for so long with the proper care in the hands of slaves and their forced knowledge on all things of architecture and engineering. The eyes of the thousands of creatures that had never seen much light outside the Claw Rift – as the chasm was called – stared up. Red eyes, green eyes, brown, yellow, gray… They looked up and one by one, orc, half-drow, drow, human, elf, goblin, ogre, giant, kobold… One by one they all disappeared, all except a grayish child whose hands gripped unto the harsh walls of the chasm in stubborn determination.
His lungs betrayed him, as the boy climbed upwards. Breathing seemed a futile thing, but desperation drove him forward.

“One day, I shall be the one sitting on that throne.”
Ginafae Orlyndar held her head high as she shadowed the footsteps of her eldest sister, Olor’bryn. The drow strolled casually through their mother’s audience chamber with the intent of finding and berating Rhylnar – the matron’s newest partner and plaything. Though Ginafae and Olor’bryn were at least 100 years younger than he, they were female, and therefore held complete power over their hapless stepfather.
The two sisters were aged 56 and 78, respectively; already over the hill by human standards, but barely out of childhood by that of the drow. They were the daughters of Matron Mother Innolu’s first mate, Dhaun’agh – who had been sacrificed to Lolth by Innolu herself – and the sisters seized every opportunity to remind Rhylnar that he could share in his predecessor’s gruesome fate if he stepped one toe out of line.
Ginafae’s subtle implication wa
Dire Dilemma, Ch2Their skin tingled as they passed through a barrier over the doorway, and she couldn't help but shiver slightly. He felt it and drew her closer to him as he called a small flame to give some light and warmth. A small, yet comfortable side cave, it appeared, a tiny little underground stream ran through the back of it, in from the left side and out the right; on the floor, at the center of the room, held a dark spot from ages of fires for light, meals, and warmth.Dire Dilemma, Ch2 by *Poetic-Dragon
He whispered into her ear, "We will be safe to rest here. This is the little cave the map spoke of. It is magically protected so nothing can come in. A secure haven for the knowledgeable traveler." He smiled softly and reassuringly at her, his hand releasing hers and gently stroking her cheek for a moment before he stepped away.
The flame grew in his hand and he released it, to allow it hang midair while he removed his back and withdrew a special bowl, setting it in the center of the room. He reached into the bag again and with
Contest - Deh' o' Mialhin Shadow RangerContest - Deh' o' Mialhin by #Lolth-Scourge
Deh' o' Mialhin is a young drow female of Mih'Al'Henidraninl family. Ancient Lolth high priestess, she was revoked from her position because spiders, the symbol of Lolth, did never dare to approach her, as if frightened by something.
Renegade, she had to leave the territories under Lolth control when her high prietest weapon, the fangs scourge with file living snake lashes, tried to kill her. Lolth wanted her dead.
She traveled south in the Underdark, alone, and soon discovered she was happier in those half desert lands than she had never been in the crowded Drow cities. She also soon discovered some hided talents in herself and little by little, while traveling in the earth bowels, she became what we could call a Shadow Ranger.
As her surface homonyms, Deh' had some powers over the nature, even over the dangerous beasts living in the Underdark. She discovered why spiders feared her: in fact she had the power to provoque waves of extreme fear in any liv

Xenshai yawned, stopped fiddling with his long braided hair and looked over at his brother. The younger drow looked, in Xenshais' opinion, far too nervous to carry out the orders they had explicitly been given by their mother, the Matron Vikhra. Or maybe it was the other orders he had been given that worried him…
'Jehk'ril, if you're going to going to fidget, you may as well leave' he drawled, a slightly amused smile touching his lips. Jehk'ril turned and frowned, shaking his head vehemently.
'I know what to do' he replied, a hint of a tremor to his voice.
'Hmmm. And you are sure you are…up to it?'
Jehk'ril glowered at his brother. Why must he always treat him as a child?
'This raid will be successful. Hasn't Matron Vikhra told us Mother Lolth is on our side?
'Lolth?' Xenshai spat over his shoulder. 'Who gives a damn what that old spider thinks! Anyway, that was not what I was referring to…'
'Xenshai…do you think this course of action is wise? Surely Vikhra will

"I don't like it." He snarls, crossing and uncrossing his arms anxiously. The Half-drey just ignored it, however, stroking his short beard thoughtfully. It didn't bother him any to be someplace without walls or ceiling…damn the man.
"Look up…" Orin smirks softly, gesturing upward. His rings glinted in the bright light of the moon, making Shand squint.
"I don't want to." He snaps back, irritably, sitting down on the ground, the heavy spider limbs that hang from his back twitching dangerously.
"Aww. Big man is SKAWED." Bat'zu sniggered. The half demon, who looked like nothing more impressive than a chubby, horned infant with wings, sniggered as he lit an thick cigar, further offending Shand's eyes with the flames interruption of the darkness. It's the tiny wings that keep him air born as one of Shand's talon-ended spider limbs smashes through the branch the half demon is perched on. Even the sound of it breaking and falling don't sound right without cavern walls to make them echo. Too bl
